Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins the other night. Derek's pirate ship turned out real nice, but I had a little trouble with mine! Even with a design to follow I still had problems and ended up cutting what was supposed to be a spider completely out. Now I call mine, "Spider On The Moon."

Its an excellent spider on the moon! You might want to keep an eye on Derek with the bunny, though.

Mason wants to know if you can come carve a ship on our pumpkins? I told him I'd ask. :)

Tara, it is really tricky to carve a pirate ship on a pumpkin. You have to do a detailed drawing of the ship on a piece of paper and then you have to decide what will be cut out and will not be. Make sure to leave enough supporting pieces to keep the ship together. Then you can trace the outline on the pumpkin and carefully carve it with a variety of kitchen utensils. Orrr...you can just go to Walmart and get the kit that they have and spend about 15 minutes using their tools and stencils. If I was there I would definitely do it.

Katie...that would be BORING! Good luck!

So you have to check out UWB website. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Lacie is on the homepage, next to the "Husky Promise." Check it and let me know.

Hope you both are doing well, and we look forward to the wedding announcement...
