Happy late Easter!! We had such a fun and relaxing weekend with the best weather anyone could really ask for. Saturday morning we did a 5 mile run for me and Peyton and bike ride for Derek and the kids around our neighborhood. It was so nice out! After that we dyed some Easter eggs and then headed to an Easter egg hunt at a friends house.

Doesn’t Braedon look thrilled? Then he realized he was the only man of the group.

Yeah buddy! Adi just looks freaked. Don’t worry, after she figured out there was candy in the eggs she got more into it.
And they’re off!

Hunting for some eggs.

Like I said, once Adi figured out there was candy, she would dive in a bush for an egg.

We all had a lot of fun catching up with friends and the kids had a blast playing with a bunch of new friends. On Sunday we got up to discover the Easter bunny had come, so the hunt for more eggs continued.

Well, some got a little distracted and stopped at one.

Instant gratification.

The lonely egg that Adi found, or tripped over as it was the one egg that the Easter bunny just so happened to drop in the middle of the living room.

Baeo knows how to do it! Run around as fast as you can gathering as many eggs as you can hold.

Or maybe Adi has the right idea. Let your brother run around like a maniac and then steal his chocolate when he’s not looking.

This year the Easter bunny was pretty generous and got the kids a play kitchen.

Whenever we go to indoor play places the kids always spend most of the time playing in the kitchen, so I talked with the bunny and he thought it would be a good idea

Adilyn spends most of her time in the playroom playing with the kitchen. Or hoping real food might magically appear in the fridge.

After breakfast we decided to walk to church because it was just way too nice out. After church we walked to Starbucks and then back home to hang out on the deck.

We just love it out here! It is so pretty and relaxing. If we feel like big city chaos, it’s only 30 minutes away.

Happy Easter!!!
