And no, we don’t feed him straight powdered sugar for breakfast. Although every Saturday morning Derek will make us Dutch pancakes and Braedon absolutely loves them…with snow.
Now back to the Baeo. I just wanted to document some of things he has been saying and doing lately so that I won’t forget.
1. He is talking up a storm and will repeat everything you say. He is now piecing together 3 and 4 word sentences.
2. He does an unbelievably realistic siren impression. Whenever he sees a fire truck, ambulance, or cop car you better believe you will be hearing a siren from the backseat of the Jeep in a matter of seconds.
3. He sometimes will call me Lacie. Usually when he does something that requires the word, “Uh oh.” So I will hear over and over again, “Uh oh, Lacie….uh oh, Lacie.”
4. He still loves anything cars, trucks, trains and tractors and that will be the thing he beelines for at daycare at the gym and at church.
5. When I pick him up from daycare or when Derek gets home from work he will come running up to us and say, “Hi, mom! I missed you!” or, “Hi, dad! I missed you!” It is way too cute and makes my heart melt.
6. One of his favorite shows is the Wonder Pets and he will sing the theme song all the time. After we put him to bed last night we could hear him singing it in his crib.
7. He has mastered his jumping skill and is now getting a lot more brave. He has scared me and Derek a number of times by wanting to jump off playground equipment and other things that are over 5 feet off the ground. I really don’t want to deal with any broken bones, but this kid is fearless.
8. He is getting really into coloring and loves to sit at the table and color while he eats his meals. I think his favorite color is green. If you saw his pictures you would think the same thing.
9. He now says please on his own almost anytime he asks for something. I didn’t even have to work with him on this…he just started doing it on his own. It’s a nice surprise…my kid has manners…I’m not sure where he got them, but he has them! (turns out that it was Derek that taught him this)
10. He loves to go out in our garden with me and look at all our vegetables and help pick them and put them in the fridge. Such a good little helper!
11. He knows all the letters of the alphabet and can point them out and say them. With some letters he can say a word that starts with that letter.
12. He tries to do ridiculously hard things like stacking certain objects on top of each other that really don’t stack well and will get extremely frustrated, which normally turns into a fit.
Those are the Braedon updates I can think of for now…
We just love this kid and can’t get enough!!

Coming home from work a couple of weeks ago and having Baeo come running and jump into my arms was normal but then he put his head on my shoulder and said "I missed you Dad". I was shocked to hear him string all of the words together, add the "ed" on the end of "miss", and know what missed means! Incredible little kid I tell you.
I can't wait to get down there and see our Baeo; it has been way too long.
