Catch Up

My oh my.  I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted.  I haven't been doing very well with keeping this blog updated.  We have been plenty busy though!  I figured when we got our new camera I would take even more pictures, but that isn't the case.  Since it is so big it's not convenient for me to carry it around, so whenever I do take a picture, it's with my cell phone.  So, that is what this blog post is going to consist of.  Cell phone pictures!

Now for some updates...

Braedon is still in ski lessons and is doing very well.  He loves it and has no fear!  Last weekend he even went up on the chair lift after practice with Derek and did a couple of runs together.  He is loving school and after a lot of thought, we have decided to send him off to Kindergarten next year.  I may not be ready, but he is!  I still can't believe he is almost 5.  He is a fast learner and absorbs so much information I am constantly amazed.  He is learning to read and loves sounding out random words he sees on bill boards, on the road, etc.  He also loves maps and learning where different countries and states are located.

Then there is Adilyn.  I hate to say it, but that girl is a replica of her mom at this age.  She is stubborn,  and full of spunk and energy.  In almost every way possible, Braedon is my easy child.  Adi is challenging!  She doesn't care if she gets in trouble and definitely has ways of showing her emotions. I love every bit of her though and wouldn't want her to be any other way.  Even though she challenges me, she is constantly making me laugh with her dramatic facial expressions and the way she says things.  Adi is taking a dance class right now, which she loves, and both her and Braedon will start soccer next week.  Got to burn off that energy!  She will also start preschool in the fall and is very excited.

Derek and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary and the beginning of this month!  We were able to go out and enjoy a nice, relaxing dinner and then a very fun dueling piano show.

Derek is loving his job and recently got promoted.  I have started training people again and have really been enjoying getting back into my passion of fitness and helping others achieve their goals.

A little update on my life after my final surgery.  Let's just say not at all how we expected it to go.  About 3 weeks after my final surgery I started to experience awful pain and bleeding.  Long story short, my new gastro specialist thinks it is Chron's and I am now on more medications than I was before surgery which includes Derek having to give me 1 to 2 shots a week.  It really is my worst nightmare and the worst possible ending to all of this.  To say I am devastated would be an understatement.  I knew this past year would be tough, but having a light at the end of the tunnel (no more meds, no pain, no side effects from awful meds...) made it worth it.  Enough time has gone by that I have accepted it and have moved on to just trying to get better again.  As of now, I am still battling the pain and bleeding.

Moving on, last week Braedon had a mid winter break and so we did some fun stuff to fill the days.  One of the days I took them to Wiggle Works, which is an indoor play area with pretty cool stuff.  The kids had a blast and they left tired.

I don't know if Adi thought that because it was break she no longer needed naps or what, but she has been on a nap strike!  Not fun.  She obviously needs one.
Remember though, she is stubborn.  Floor naps can't be as comfortable as a nap in your comfy bed.  I do have to say though, she is napping today!!!  In Baeo's bed for some reason, but she is asleep in a bed....Yay!!

Grandma Peterson sent a little Valentines package that included fun stickers...
The kids had lots of fun with those!

So, I have more pictures but for some reason I am having trouble receiving them from my inbox. That is basically what has been going on in the Peterson household.  I'll try not to go as long between this post and my next one, and I promise more pictures!!
