Pumpkin Patch 2012

On Sunday I took the kids to a pumpkin patch in Carnation.  It was a beautiful day and I'm not sure how many more days of sun we are going to be having, so I decided to take advantage of it!  Derek was out of town, so I was lucky enough to have my friend Jenny come along.

We rode a train, some other rides, had some lunch, and picked out our pumpkins.  It was a very fun morning!

I think Adi's favorite part was all of the pumpkins!  She loved crawling all over them.

I tried to talk her into a cute little one, but obviously it wasn't big enough for her.
She wanted one she could ride.

Who knew pumpkins could be so entertaining!

Braedon is really into bones and the human body right now, so I thought a picture with the skeleton was fitting.
Fall is here!!  I love this time of year!  In addition to the pumpkin patch, we have enjoyed spending lots of time at the park and going on lots of walks looking at and crunching leaves.

Already October?

Oh my goodness!  Where the heck did September go?  We had such a busy month filled with getaways and fun family time.  Just this last month we celebrated Adi's birthday, moved into our temporary apartment, Braedon started preschool, Derek left his job and got his dream one with Microsoft, Derek and I went on our first getaway sans kids, Derek helped his brother on his house, and lastly, I went to Vegas with my bestie.

When we were home, we played in the mud.  This is our version of a mud bath.  Not as nice as the spa, but it gets the job done.  Really, I came outside to find a pair of muddy boots, and a pair of muddy pants.  Where was the muddy boy and did I really even want to know.

By the way, in two days our computer broke and my phone broke.  With that said, we got the MacBook Air and in doing so, I no longer get access to my windows live writer.  That makes me so sad and until I figure out what else to use, I get to fight with Blogger, which just flat sucks.  Anyway, Derek and I went away to Whistler for a few days and had an absolute blast.  We took advantage of traveling alone and did everything we couldn't do with kids.  We went zip lining, trail running, horse bike riding, hiking, and even ate at restaurants that had cloth napkins.  It was wonderful.

Whistler was so fun and I am already scheming a winter trip there!  Once home, we relaxed in our downtime.  Derek took two weeks off in between jobs, so it has been so nice having him home!  Today, he is back to work:(
I will now be back to regular blogging as we are finally back to reality and normal schedules again.

The house is started

Last Friday they moved dirt for our new house!  It is going to be a long 4 1/2 months until our house is ready but thankfully we have a wonderful photographer that is going to capture it all for us.

First day of school!

Today was Baeo’s first day of preschool!  Man, I can’t believe the time has already come.  He was very excited to get to school this morning and did great.  I think preschool will do all of us some good!

He goes Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11:30.  The preschool gives them bags that are easier for the kids to get into and for the teachers to go by and drop notes/art projects in each day.

Adi was excited for Braedon to start school too.

Lets be honest, big brothers can be punks.

Ahh, a brother and sister hug.  At least a brother hug, Adi’s just hoping he had some peanut butter on his hand leftover from breakfast.

Happy first day of school little man!

One whole year!

Adi had her one year check up yesterday and she checked out perfectly healthy!  Here are her stats:

Height: 38 inches

Weight: 20.8 pounds

Adi’s likes: Her blankie, playing with her brother’s toys, eating pretty much everything that is put in front of her, music, walking around the house with  help, swinging at the park, splashing in the bathtub, riding in the grocery cart, cell phones, the iPad, anything else that isn’t a toy.

Adi’s dislikes: Long car rides, sitting in her high chair with no food on her tray…I can’t think of anything else.  She is one happy girl!

New developments: Walks with assistance, says mama, signs and says milk, signs finished, says dog and hi.  Cruises along anything she can get her hands on.

Now for fun, a look back over this last year!

Adi dominates her cake

A princess’s birthday

My little lady turned the big 0-1 on Saturday.

We had some close friends and family over to help her celebrate…

and open her presents.

In case you were wondering, a princess doesn’t have to do anything for herself.

DSCN4253

Even if she wants to.

I guess cousin Lilly doesn’t have to do anything herself either.

When Mr. Baeo’s around anyway.

One more shot of the cake eating action.

After cake, which then needed a quick bath, the princess changed into her evening attire for presents.

That would be the Queen Bee to the far right, probably asking where her piece of cake and crown are.

After present time, our little princess had come down off of her sugar high and was all ready for a lovely night of slumber.

This would be cousin Camille, a girl after my own heart…

and my cake.

The next morning, since we had all four grandkids together, we had some pictures taken with grandma and grandpa.

I only took about 42 pictures and still don’t know if we captured a winner.

I take that back.

These capture that very moment.

Perfectly.

Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl!  You are very loved!
