Four seasons

Just this last week I feel like we have experienced all four seasons.  We have had snow, hail, rain, and sunny, warm blue skies.  On Friday we woke up to snow!

The kids were out playing on the deck at 7 am.

Snow angels were made and snow was consumed.  Miss Adi rocked her bed head.

On Saturday we had a little get together, so before the party everyone helped in the taking down our old table and setting up our new one.

MIght I add it was warm and sunny.  I didn’t even wear a jacket when out running errands.  Glorious spring weather!

Yesterday it almost felt like summer.  We spent most of the day outside playing at two different parks, attending soccer practice, and playing out on our deck until bedtime.  Today was pretty nice as well, except we had some rain early this evening.  I thought it was the perfect time to go out and play in it!  It wasn’t too cold and there was some sun shining through.  I told Baeo he could go out and play in some puddles and get as wet as he wanted.

Braedon doesn’t do anything small.

IMG_1988

He didn’t have a dry spot on him when he was done.

IMG_1992

His boots were filled with water and suctioned to his feet.

IMG_2009

He played in this puddle, if that’s what you want to call it, for about 35 minutes.

IMG_2017

And he had an absolute blast!

IMG_2066

Adi watched from dry land.

IMG_2036

This girl has the cutest facial expressions!

IMG_2046

She definitely has attitude.

IMG_2048

And a little spunk too.

IMG_2052

I couldn’t have asked for more!

IMG_2053

I probably should have cleaned the ketchup off her face.  By the way, she loves ketchup too.

All chalked up

It has been pretty rainy here the last few days, so this afternoon when the sky cleared up, we made sure to get outside.  My awesome friend Gina brought over sidewalk chalk for the kids in their Easter basket this past Friday and it has been a huge hit.  My sister is staying with us for the week while my parents are on vacation; thanks to the sidewalk chalk, Jenny and Braedon were outside playing with the chalk for about 3 hours!  Adilyn was done after about 15 minutes and quickly began looking for something else to do.

Then she had a little fun with the dogs.

Jen is quite the artist!

Now for some total cuteness!!

That sidewalk is covered!

Baeo and Adilyn adore their auntie.

I had to practically drag him in for bedtime.

It’s been quite the treat having Aunt Jen here with us.  Her and Adi had some cuddle time by the fire yesterday.Smile

St. Patty’s Day 1k

Today was hopefully the first of many.  Baeo’s first road race!  Our community had a local 5k and 1k  to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  We thought this would be the perfect opportunity for Braedon to run his very first race and he had an absolute blast.  In fact, we all did!

All checked in and getting ready.

IMG_1746

And he is good to go!

IMG_1752

Waiting at the start line for the race to begin.

IMG_1756

And he’s off!  Luckily the rain and wind held off until after we were all doneSmile

IMG_1762

Okay, this was the cutest thing ever and our whole family had so much fun.  I can’t wait to do another race and am hoping to talk everyone into a 5k.  Yes, Derek, it will be fun.

IMG_1767

Braedon ran the whole time but you could tell he was getting pretty tired towards the end.

IMG_1777

1k is actually pretty far for someone with little legs.

IMG_1782

Still running!

IMG_1785

Doing a little look back to check out his competition.

IMG_1788

He’s almost to the finish line folks!

IMG_1800

And we have a finisher.

IMG_1826

Say CHEESE!!!

IMG_1831

He could not stop talking about his race.  So flippin cute!  Adi had a good time too.

IMG_1833

End of the race family photo.

IMG_1854

And of course one with the giant stuffed animal.

IMG_1867

Such a fun time!!  After the race we walked to the local coffee shop, which we had yet to visit, and let me tell you that it is awesome.  The kids and I will be back.  It is so cozy and cute with a little kid corner filled with books, puzzles, toys, and games.  Something for everyone!

18 months

Adilyn turned 18 months on the first, and today she had her 18 month check up.  I realized I haven’t done a monthly update in awhile, so I wanted to get down some stats as well as what she has been up to lately.

IMG_1683

These pictures were quickly taken tonight since I have been absolutely awful at taking any pictures lately!

Weight: 22.2 pounds (10-25%)

Height: 33.5 inches (90-95%)

Miss Adi Bob is long and lean!  At 18 months old, Adi is sleeping from 6:30 pm to 6:30 or 7 am and taking one nap a day after lunch.  She is running, climbing, going up and down stairs, and starting to rough house with her brother.

IMG_1732

She still loves all things electronic and hates it when you tell her no.  Obviously.  She loves french fries and will throw most veggies on the floor.  She loves her morning sippy cup of milk and drinking water out of my water bottle.

IMG_1670

She is finally starting to enjoy books and will sit with me while we flip through the pages.  She still hates being put down most of the time and is sometimes only content when I am holding her.  She loves to play at the park and go down the slide and swing.  She has even started kicking a soccer ball back and forth with me!  She loves music!!  Turn it on and it turns into a dance party!

Now, to change the subject a bit.  Braedon is also doing very well, especially considering the move and him being the new kid in school.  He transitioned more smoothly then I ever would and is loving his new school.  He also started soccer last week and LOVES it!  I already plan on signing him up for another session after this one.  I think I might have two soccer players on my hands and I couldn’t be any happier!!!

IMG_1676

At 46 months, which is what he will tell you now if you ask him how old he is, Braedon is quite the jokester.  He loves to color and practice writing his letters.  He also loves playing at the park, riding his bike and rough housing with his sister.

IMG_1677

These two are so much fun.

IMG_1713

And can be oh so sweet.
