Lacie: Braedon, Dad is taking the Jeep in so we are staying home today. Do you want to watch a movie?
Braedon: YEAH!
(Braedon rummages through the movies and shows Lacie three movies)
Braedon: Mom, pick a movie.
Lacie: Derek, look at what my options are.
(Lacie shows me Cars, Cars 2 and Mater's Tales)
Lacie: Braedon thanks for the great options. Let's watch Cars.
Braedon: No, let's watch Mater's Tales.
Lacie: Then why did you give me options?
Braedon: Let's watch Mater's Tales.
Lacie: How about we watch Cars 2.
Braedon: I don't like Cars 2. Let's watch Mater's Tales.
Lacie: You haven't watched Cars 2 in a LONG time.
(Braedon ultimately relented and they are watching Cars 2.)
Goods news is that Braedon is very kind. Bad news is that he is clearly not well rounded, as he only wants Cars movies and really just wants to watch one of them, and doesn't understand the concept of giving options then following through with his previous action.
Oh well, the kid is hilarious and awesome!
Side Note: Why did we spell our kid's names in a way that pisses off spell check?
Update: Since the first viewing of Cars 2 yesterday morning, Braedon has now watched it 2 more times. Maybe Mom and Dad actually do know what they are talking about when they say that their kid will like something.

For a long time Ryan only wanted to watch Mulan. I still have the song 'Let's get down to business' memorized. It's been a long time since I've been in that phase of life so when Tara recently recommended The Princess & the Frog by saying that she didn't really like it much until she had seen it about 15 times but now it's one of her favorites, I could not stop laughing. Those days are coming back around for me.
