As I have mentioned in a previous post, we have a buffalo living above us in the form of a big, burley man who can’t do anything quiet. I thought I would give you guys an update as I am sitting here, constantly being reminded that he is still around.
Buffalo was home on the range over Christmas break and he gave us the best Christmas present ever. About a week of peace and quiet before he made his journey back to Ithaca.
We have realized that he likes to take baths, which is kind of scary considering his bathroom is right above our kitchen and we have had some issues with water streaming through the ceiling onto our kitchen floor. He also has a male friend who likes to come over and takes baths as well. Strange, no? I sometimes fear for our kitchen and our lives in thinking that one of these days we are going to be seeing the buffalo in his birthday suit, sitting in the bathtub, in our kitchen.
Buffalo’s roaming also tends to shake the chandelier in our living room which causes our light bulbs to come on and off. I discovered this today and after having two light bulbs go out two days a row, I am now wondering if they were really burnt out or if Buffalo had something to do with it.
Although he is big and loud, he seems to be quite nice as I constantly hear him in the evenings laugh his big burly laugh at who knows what.
