Keeping busy

Well, we are 3 weeks from our move in date and we are getting excited!!  In the mean time, we have been keeping ourselves plenty busy and entertained.  I will leave you with a picture dump of some of our daily shenanigans.

We’ve also done some painting, playing at the park, and long trail walks.  These kids sure do keep me on my toes!

Adi loves to sing and dance and will start dancing whenever there is music on.  Yesterday during the Super Bowl, she was our half time entertainment!

The adventures of biking and drains. But mostly drains.

Today was the first day in awhile that it hasn’t been really rainy, so we took advantage and got outside for some bike riding fun!

Sunday morning

We thought it would be a good day to take the kids to the Pacific Science Center considering the model train exhibit was here for the weekend.  Someone in our family loves trains.

Adi was loving them too!

There were trains to watch, trains to play with, and trains to ride.  We didn’t tell Baeo about the riding one though because it was crowded.  I know, bad parents.

In between the train watching and the train playing, they felt up some germs.

With a little water play mixed in there as well.  Adi only tried to drink it a few times.

Back to the trains.

We also hit up the bug and butterfly exhibit.

It was 85 degrees and balmy in the butterfly exhibit.  I was about ready to throw on my bikini and order a Mai Tai.  I could get along with the butterflies for a couple of months.

Drums anyone?  These can stay at the science center

How about a car ride?  Baeo is a very good driver.

He takes it very seriously.

We, or I mean Braedon, finished off the day a little adventurous with a Scorpion sucker.

Yes, that would be a real scorpion in the middle of the sucker.  I cringed the whole way home as I heard him chomping on it.  At least he got a little protein.

Miss Adi was beat when we were done and I ended up putting her to bed early.

Is that even safe?  Goodnight folks.

46 days

February 27th is the big day!  It is the day we get the keys to our new home!  February 28th is when our lease is up on our apartment.  That makes February 28th a very busy but exciting day!  Yesterday we went to check out our new house.  Now that they are to the fun finishing stuff, it is hard to stay away!  The walls are painted and we have cupboards!  After checking out the house we went across the street to the neighborhood playground.  Since it was so nice out, we were able to meet a few other neighbors and neighbor kids.  I have to say, I am so excited to be moving into this neighborhood!  It is filled with little kids both Braedon and Adilyn’s age.  Braedon had a blast with a few neighbor kids yesterday at the park and I can’t wait until that can turn into a daily thing.

Before we left, I caught the kids actually playing together and not fighting.  I thought I better capture it on camera in case it never happened again.

This is totally off topic, but Braedon has his first show and tell experience at preschool tomorrow.  I so wish I could be a fly on that wall.  He will be showing and talking about his new put together Lightening McQueen.

Day at the Zoo

Derek and I have been wanting to take the kids to Woodland Park Zoo for quite some time now.  Originally the plan was to go see the zoo lights, but the weather never really cooperated for us.  However, when we woke up today and I saw it was supposed to be sunny, we jumped at the chance to spend the day at the zoo!  It was very cold, but no rain.  I consider that a win!
First stop was the African drums.

We saw every exhibit at the zoo, and after awhile Adi started to have enough.  Can you say temper tantrum?

I’m sure me laughing at her didn’t help.  But soon after, all was good in the world again.

I think the orangutans and the otters were the top favorites among the kids…and the adults.

Although, Braedon loved the birds!  This one just flew up on me!  Not gonna lie.  Freaked me out a bit.  But I held my cool for the B man.

That’s right, just call me the bird whisperer.  The boys tried to catch another to feed.

Followed by a whole lot more exhibits, then the penguins, which were also a hit, and then a picture in a boat before major meltdowns which included a bloody lip.
