Happy New Year!

Wow, I can’t believe another year has already come and gone.  Things really need to slow down!  I did this last year and am going to do it again this year…another recap of what the Peterson’s were up to in 2011.

January: We spent half the month in Seattle for Derek’s winter break.  We had lots of fun seeing friends and family!

Also, we all got the flu and I found out I was pregnant!

February:  Back in Ithaca for our last year of grad school!  It was a very cold and snowy winter so we did our best to stay busy inside.

March:  Derek had been going through the interview process with Adobe.  We found out at the end of the month that he got the job and we were moving to San Jose.  Braedon took swim lessons for the second time and I was lucky to have Derek come once so I would get a break from the freezing pool.

We also got about a foot of snow!

We also visited Washington D.C.

April:  Braedon and I flew back to Seattle for a couple weeks at end of March/early April.

We also found out we were having a GIRL!

May:  Braedon turned 2!

We attended lots of fun parties as school was wrapping up.

We took a week long trip to Maine, Martha’s Vineyard, and Rhode Island.

We went to NYC!

Braedon played in Central Park.

Derek’s parents came for a week, and Derek GRADUATED!!!

June:  The day after graduation, we loaded up the moving trailer and made our way across the country.

July:  We went and saw a hot air balloon show for the 4th of July.

Musashi and Chad came to visit.

We visited San Francisco for the first time.

Derek turned 31 and we went camping in the dirt!

August: Megan, Tyson, and their kids came to visit for the weekend.

September:  Adi joined us right on September 1st!

My parents drove down and my mom and sister stayed for the whole month!

October:  We went to the pumpkin patch and sweated like pigs.

Braedon went trick or treating for the first time!

November:  Grandma and Grandpa Peterson came for Thanksgiving.

We smoked a turkey for the first time.

December:  My mom came to visit for a week.

Braedon met Santa and didn’t cry!

We celebrated Christmas at home for the first time.

Wow!  What a year.  Looking back, 2011 was a great year for us filled with exciting adventures and cute little miracles.  I’m excited to see what 2012 has in store for us!
